The Star

Definition:

opportunity for healing, renewal, hope, and inspiration - especially after a difficult period.

Poem:

there is a safe place

far away from the pain and chaos you have known

where a brook runs with clear water

refreshingly cold and pure

the sunlight sparkles through the trees

and birds chirp peacefully

in this haven you can finally rest

your world-weary body

find healing

now the danger has passed

let yourself be renewed in the sacred waters

like a baptism

you can always be born again

Invitation:

The Star card represents renewal and healing after the turbulence of the Tower. There is this beautiful, peaceful energy about this card. This is one of the few figures in the Tarot that appears naked, which indicates a greater sense of vulnerability. This is because healing can only happen when we are in a safe enough place to let our guard down and feel. The Star invites you to find that healing space and find ways to access the care and support you need to recover.

The Star can also represent hope and invites you to find the possibilities and magic in your current situation. It’s a reminder that what happened in the past doesn’t have to continue in the future. You can create something better.

To play with the energy of The Star….

  • Journal Prompt: What are you ready to heal? How can you support yourself in that process? How can you make space in your day-to-day life for healing?

  • Healing Space Visualization: The Star represents this beautiful peaceful space of renewal and healing. We can create that for ourselves in our mind through visualization. Sit in a quite space and maybe listen to some peaceful music. Imagine that you are taking to your own special healing space in your mind. Picture what the landscape is like and the surroundings. Are there any people there? Are there any animals? It can be whatever your want. Imagine that relaxing in that space and receiving some sort of healing there. When you are ready bow and leave the space and open your eyes. Note how you feel after. Return as needed.
