About me

Hi, I’m Toland.

I think deep down we know who we are and what we want. The problem is that to have relationships with others (especially early in life) we’ve often had to suppress those desires to be accepted and included. And that is an adaptive response because humans need each other to survive. But often these patterns and habits outlive their usefulness as we get older.

What if you could express yourself authentically and still have connection with others?

That is what I want to help people explore. And I know it’s scary admitting what you really want and it’s even scarier to go after it. But with the right support, you can ground yourself so that your able to take that next step toward your desired reality.

I believe you are the one who leads this process. You are the one who makes the change. All I do is act as a mirror and create a safe container that makes it easier for you to connect with yourself.

I’m not your friend, your healer, or your guru. I’m just the stranger of consequence you meet at a key moment on your journey. I make a contribution and then you move on.

Of course, it’s important that you know about who I am so that you can decide if you resonate with me. Below, I’ve listed some key details that are relevant to my approach.

Positionality

I have lived my life as a white, cis-gender, able-bodied woman and grew up upper-middle class. While I have worked to interrogate my biases, I cannot know what it’s like to experience the world from another perspective. And it’s important to acknowledge this so you can use your discernment when engaging with me in any capacity. If while working together, I cause harm as a result of these biases, I commit to doing the work to repair. This includes engaging in conversations to make space to hear the harm that’s been done and identify steps towards healing.

Vision

A long time ago, I made a vision board that represents what I want for my business. In some ways, it expresses what I’m trying to cultivate better than anything I’ve written ever could.
